Originally inspired by the classic taco-joints of Chicago & Portland, Citizen Park embodied the industrial style of the time.  Stripped back walls, exposed structure and expansive garden bar, Citizen Park was ahead of the game with the largest retractable roof structure in New Zealand at that time.
