The brief for The Emerald was to deliver a charismatic and approachable venue for locals, primarily aimed more towards women, and in time be coined ‘the local’

The building itself was an old derelict bank which held some charming references and details that linked back to the Art Deco era. Inside, the site was flooded with natural light and sported naturally distressed walls and heavy steel joinery. The eclectic nature of the site, inspired the foundations for our design approach.
